What this site doesn't do

There are no accounts, no forms, no cookies and no advertising on this site. Its fonts are served from this site, not from a third party.

Analytics

We count visits with Umami, a cookie-free analytics tool that we host ourselves on our own server in the EU. Your browser sends each page view to this site (borderlessdevs.com/stats), which passes it on to that server; no analytics data goes to a third party. It records the page, the referring site, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language and approximate location (country, region, city), but not the query string of the address. Your IP address is used only while the request is processed: to look up that approximate location and, with your browser's user agent, to compute a salted hash that changes every month, so we can count unique visitors. Your IP address itself is not stored, and nothing is stored on your device. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Email

If you email hello@borderlessdevs.com, our email provider forwards the message to our inbox. We use your address and message only to reply to you.

The job boards

The job boards linked from this site are separate websites, each with its own privacy policy (for example germanydevjobs.com/privacy). When you apply for a job, you do so on the employer's website, under the employer's privacy policy.

Processors

  • Vercel Inc.: hosts this site. Like any web host, it processes request data such as your IP address to deliver pages.
  • OVH SAS (France): hosts our analytics server in the EU.
  • Forward Email: forwards email sent to hello@borderlessdevs.com.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to processing, and receive your data in a portable format. You can also complain to your data protection authority. Email hello@borderlessdevs.com.
